In Windows Operating System, there is some ways to change or resize the size of your hard disk partition. Partition Magic can do the work for your hard disk partition. About Partition Magic, you can browse to this link. There is another method without third party application like Partition Magic and that is using Disk Management Console.
In disk management console, you can resize your hard disk partition or change the drive letters or paths. This can be done in Windows Vista. Unlike windows XP or below, you need to use third party application like Partition Magic to resize your hard disk partition.
To resize your hard disk partition using disk management console :
1. Click start button -> right click on Computer and select Manage.
2. In Computer Management console, click and expand Storage branch.
3. Click on Disk Management to open and access it.
4. Right click on any partition that you want to resize.
5. Select Expand to increase the size of the partition.
6. Select Shrink to reduce the size of the partition.
7. Enter the amount of space to expand or shrink in MB.
8. Click either Expand or Shrink button to complete the process.
Just for information, this process will not delete any data you have in partition, without the risk of data loss.
